Mile 1334, Torrey, UT. Stopped at the post office, a small cabin on the main street, to get the sleeping bag the folks sent to general delivery for me.
Leaving the Black Hills I was sure I didn’t want to manage the extra weight and bulk of camping supplies, but the opportunity to hit the Litas Blacktop Ramble was too good to pass up. Tent camping was back on the table. Anyone who’s done more than one motorcycle camping trip could probably have told me I was being crazy about overloading the bike by a sleeping bag, and now I’d tell me that too.
Anyway, the first thing I saw when I pulled into the pink gravel rock parking lot (a thick layer of loose gravel? Really?) was this extremely well-stocked Little Free Library. There wasn’t anything for me, but it did make my day going through and realizing this is where a lot of people chose to pass along their road reads.
